looks like a good read

The Christian Imagination: The Practice of Faith in Literature and Writing, Edited by Leland Ryken

A collection of essays by some awesome Christian writers, including C.S. Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkien, Madeleine L'Engle, Flannery O'Connor, Annie Dillard, Frederick Buechner, and more! Saw it at our bookstore and HAD to have it--I'll let you know how it is!

You guys might be interested in a book called "More than Words: Contemporary Writers on the Works that Shaped Them." It is a book of essays by writers (some who are considered "Christian" and others who are Christians but whose writings aren't limited by that label) about the, well, the works that shaped them! It's compiled by Philip Yancey.
